The Partners That Made It Possible

AMSOIL was one of the most important products on the trip. A classic truck road trip lives or dies by keeping the engine alive, and checking and topping off oil became part of the daily routine.

Brownie leaked, worked hard, ran hot, drove through traffic, climbed mountains, crossed deserts, and pushed all the way to Santa Monica. AMSOIL was there every day helping us keep the motor protected and the journey moving west.

Belltech supported the storytelling side of The Mother Road Run, including several classic truck walkarounds and interviews along the route.

One of the best parts of this trip was meeting other truck owners, hearing their stories, and showing the variety of classic trucks that joined us or crossed our path. Belltech helped support that part of the series and the broader classic truck culture that Ford Era is built around.

RetroSound was part of the everyday driving experience in Brownie. Route 66 is better with music, and the RetroSound stereo system gave Brownie the perfect mix of old-school style and modern sound.

Whether we were cruising small towns, crossing the desert, driving through mountains, or trying to keep spirits high during long days, the music mattered. RetroSound helped make Brownie feel like a real road trip truck.

KC HiLiTES was both a product partner and an emotional stop on the trip. KC lights helped define the look of Brownie, giving the truck the classic adventure style I grew up loving.

Visiting KC HiLiTES in Flagstaff was one of the coolest full-circle moments of the entire journey. KC lights, Bigfoot, lifted trucks, and classic Ford style all shaped my childhood love of trucks, so getting to bring Brownie to KC during The Mother Road Run was really special.

Vintage Air helped make Brownie a real road trip truck. Driving a classic truck across Route 66 in summer heat is no joke, and having modern air conditioning made the long days much more comfortable.

From hot Midwest days to the desert, Arizona, California, and even using heat on the colder final morning, Vintage Air was part of the daily experience. Brownie still felt like an old truck, but Vintage Air made it livable for the long haul.

Brownie rode on Mickey Thompson tires from Chicago to Santa Monica. The tires were part of the look, stance, and capability of the truck, and they handled everything the trip threw at us.

Rain, heat, highway miles, rough old Route 66 pavement, desert roads, mountain drives, and city traffic — the Mickey Thompson setup helped Brownie look right and keep rolling.

Jack'd Up Garage was a huge part of the adventure. Dan and Jack brought incredible Ford crew cabs, deep mechanical knowledge, support, friendship, and the kind of attitude you need on a trip like this.

They helped keep the momentum going, helped with roadside problem solving, and brought some of the coolest trucks on the run. Jack'd Up Garage was not just a sponsor or partner. They were part of the crew.
